1. Service Agreement

By booking a private chef service through Private Chef, you agree to these terms and conditions. Your private chef will prepare meals in your home according to the bespoke proposal Chef Nino has agreed with you.

2. Booking and Payment

Sending a request through Private Chef is free and takes no payment. After Chef Nino reviews your request and agrees the details with you, he sends a secure Stripe payment link to confirm your booking. Payment is made only through that link; we accept major credit and debit cards.

3. Booking Confirmation Process

When you submit a request, Chef Nino personally reviews it to confirm he can serve your dates and deliver the experience. He replies — typically within 24 hours — with a tailored proposal, the price, and a secure payment link. Your booking is confirmed once you complete payment through that link.

If your dates can't be served: Chef Nino simply lets you know and no payment is taken — sending a request never commits you to anything.

Cancellations & refunds: any cancellation or refund of a confirmed, paid booking is handled personally by Chef Nino, case by case. There is no automated online refund (see the Cancellation Policy below).

4. Service Details

Every booking is bespoke. After you send a request, Chef Nino replies with a tailored proposal and a price built around your occasion, guest count and meals — breakfast, lunch, dinner or a buffet — as a chef day fee plus a per-guest charge by meal.

Groceries and ingredients are billed separately, at cost, and are not included in the quoted price. Service is provided in Lombardy; locations outside Lombardy are quoted on request (travel and accommodation arranged per destination, or the client provides a room for the chef). Your chef will arrive at agreed-upon times to prepare fresh meals in your home kitchen.

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 7 or more days before service start date: Full refund minus processing fees

Cancellations made within 7 days of service start date: 50% refund

Cancellations made within 48 hours of service start date: No refund

6. Rescheduling

Rescheduling is available at no charge with at least 48 hours notice, subject to chef availability. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule your service.

7. Client Responsibilities

Clients must provide:

  • Access to a fully functional kitchen
  • Basic cooking equipment (pots, pans, utensils)
  • Adequate refrigerator and storage space
  • Clean and sanitary working environment

8. Dietary Requirements

We accommodate all dietary restrictions and allergies when communicated during booking. It is the client's responsibility to accurately communicate all dietary needs. We cannot be held liable for allergic reactions if information was not provided or was inaccurate.

9. Service Standards

Your chef is a vetted professional with appropriate certifications and insurance, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism. The kitchen will be left clean and organized after each service.

10. Liability

Private Chef maintains comprehensive liability insurance. We are not responsible for damage to client property beyond normal wear and tear during meal preparation. Any damages caused by our staff will be reported and resolved promptly.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

We collect and process personal information in accordance with GDPR and applicable data protection laws. Please see our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we handle your data.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
